Tibetan Singing Bowls are actually a form of bell (similar to church bells), that produce rich, deep tones you can both hear and feel. Historically, they began as a simple household tool used to measure grains, and were also used as a vessel to drink out of, providing lost minerals to those who were weak or sick. They evolved over many years into instruments used for meditation and healing. Each bowl has a different size and pitch, which relates to a specific energy point in the body.

This ancient sound therapy helps lower blood pressure, eases chronic pain, and reduces anxiety while boosting sleep, energy, and creative focus. To avoid feeling rushed, please plan to arrive at least 5 minutes early to use the restroom and get settled. Wear comfortable clothing with minimal jewelry, buttons, or zippers.  Loose yoga attire is perfect. During the session, I will provide an eye cover to quiet your visual senses, deeply heightening your awareness of the healing sounds and vibrations. Out of respect for other clients, please be sure to turn off your cell phone and avoid wearing any perfumes or colognes. Also, remember to bring a bottle of water to help flush out released toxins and stay hydrated afterwards.

After a Tibetan Singing Bowl healing, most people feel deeply relaxed, as if waking from a deep, restorative sleep. No two people are the same, so reactions will vary, as it also depends on how hydrated you are. You may experience an immediate release from chronic pain, or an emotional release, or you could just simply leave feeling mentally lighter and peaceful. In the days that follow the session, the calm energy you gained usually leads to better sleep and more vibrant energy.

As the sound vibrations penetrate your nervous system and shift stuck energy, your body will naturally release what it no longer needs. You might cry, feel a surge of joy, experience brief twitches of energy, or feel entirely still. Every reaction is a normal step in your healing journey. Just breathe, be present, and let the sound work from within.

Tibetan singing bowls cannot be fully explained—they must be experienced. Think of this sound healing as a deep meditation. It is your invitation to slow your breath, relax, and let go of whatever tension or fear you are holding. Whether you fall asleep, drift in and out of awareness, or stay awake, your body will naturally sync with the healing vibrations, realigning your mind, body, and spirit.

There is no limitation or set rule for this, but weekly, bi-weekly or monthly sessions will help contribute to your overall health.  It’s like yoga, the more often you do it, the more you will benefit from it, as it is able to work deeper each time.  

The bowls are very heavy, and there are a lot of moving pieces and parts involved in a healing, so I require 24 hours advance notice to cancel an appointment. If you cancel after that, I ask that you pay for the session.

Please DO NOT arrive late to your session.  Appointment times are scheduled and cannot be extended beyond the stated time to accommodate late arrivals.  If you are late, your session will be shortened.  If you are later than 15 minutes, the session will be considered canceled, and payment will be due.

Absolutely!  Cancer patients can benefit from this treatment, as it not only decreases anxiety, and improves sleep, but it induces a state of relaxation, and is gentle enough to flush out the lymphatic system, without causing discomfort.  There is even a book titled:  The Healing Power of Sound (Recovery from Life-Threatening Illness using sound, voice and music), in which Dr. Mitchell Gaynor writes that he believes the sounds of the bowls affects the dysrhythmic motion found in cancer cells, and helps change the cell.  

Healing bowls have also been shown to lessen anxiety, decrease fatigue, and reduce the nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy.

The effects of music on the human nervous system has been illustrated by patients with severe neurological disorders who quickly and dramatically respond to sound treatment. Even the movie AWAKENINGS told the story of Oliver Sacks and his work with music and Parkinson’s disease. For people with motor problems, music acts as a catalyst, and even hearing a beat can cause them to jump out of their chairs and start dancing. The bowls connect with the same part of the brain, and helps reconnect the circuits of the brain.

Hip or knee type replacements are safe for Singing Bowl treatments.  Most clients have told me the vibration feels great, as it releases stuck pain and breaks down scar tissue from the surgery, and their mobility improves.

My Tibetan bowls produce a gentle sound, like church bells in the distance. Most people leave their hearing aids in, and I have had no complaints so far regarding the volume.
